A Night to Remember: 1854 Rare Wines & Gifts Opens Its Doors to Opelika

There are some moments in building a business that you know you’ll remember forever.

For us, one of those moments was last week.

Before officially opening the doors of 1854 Rare Wines & Gifts to Opelika, we invited our friends and family together for one more evening of celebration—and what a night it was.

The room was filled with laughter, conversation, music, and, of course, plenty of wine. Live music filled the space while everyone gathered around tables, raised a glass, and celebrated the culmination of months of hard work.

But the night wasn't really about the building.

It was about the people who helped us get here.

From washing endless glasses and putting furniture together to hanging pictures, cleaning, organizing, and helping us get the register ready, so many people pitched in along the way. Some helped for an afternoon. Others seemed to find a way to help every step of the way.

And we are incredibly grateful for every single one of you.

1854 Rare Wines & Gifts is more than a wine shop. We want it to be a place where people can slow down, discover something new, gather with friends, listen to music, and feel at home in downtown Opelika.

Seeing the room filled with people for the first time made that vision feel real.

We're excited for what's ahead—from sharing great wines and creating memorable gifts to hosting gatherings and becoming part of the Opelika community.
